- PatiTracker Smart Pet ID Badge has a unique QR Code and NFC feature on each badge. The QR Code is like a barcode that you find on an article at the supermarket. When you scan a QR Code by using your smartphone camera or tab it on (NFC feature) with your smartphone, it will post the information of the pet that was allowed by the owner of the badge.

Scanned GPS Location is Recorded
When the PatiTracker Smart Pet ID Badge is scanned or tapped, the scan date/time is recorded once the ‘’Locate me button’’ is pressed by the finder/ rescuer. GPS co-ordinates are uploaded to your pet profile at the web site once the browser confirmation is approved by the finder/ rescuer.

Owner is being Contacted. This is the moment of reunion
The pet owner is contacted by finder/ rescuer. The owner now can receive SMS detailing GPS map location of pet when scanned. The owner now will be reunited with his/her beloved pet. Happy ending.

Seems to work. Registration was pretty easy and it's a nice way to put all the relevant information (vet phone #, microchip ID, etc.) in one place. Hopefully it will never be needed.
